The Angler’s Rest is a popular pub with accommodation run by Pauline and Francis McGoldrick.

Located on Ballyconnell’s main street it is the ideal base for exploring the delights of County Cavan and the neighbouring counties of Leitrim, Roscommon and Fermanagh.

There is oodles of atmosphere brought about by open fireplaces, lots of comfortable seating, a flagged floor and the enticing L-shaped bar. Overall there is a good solid and intimate atmosphere to the place and a warm welcome extended to each and everyone.

Bar food is available throughout the day with an extensive buffet menu at lunchtime using local grown produce whenever possible at lunchtime; the restaurant opens from 5pm in the evening. The steaks are something of a legend and a challenge, even for those among us with a big appetite!

There are eight modern en-suite guest bedrooms with TV and coffee tray providing comfort at a very reasonable price.
